What are 'Rigs'?

Engineering rigs - or sometimes 'bucks' are typically used to prove out sub-systems or parts of larger systems.

We can offer services of rig design, development and build, with complex electrical, mechanical or electro-mechanical systems.

We can also offer instrumentation and data acquisition selection and installation, along with rig operation, data analysis, test reports, system tuning and development and decommissioning.

We have developed a number of 'Lab Cars' for Automotive use - these typically consist of an open prototype metal framework, typically roughly the size and shape of a car, with all of the electrical components installed along with a complete wiring harness.

On top of this, we have also developed integrated 'Hardware In-The Loop' systems which operate along-side the Lab Car to exercise the various sensors and actuators as if they were being used in the real world

A critical part of any engineering rig is to be able to acquire the necessary and relevant data from it to inform your system development targets. This is key to being able to develop and validate your sub-systems early in the development lifecycle before late changes become costly.

We have significant experience in a wide range of Sensor types, along with Data Acquisition tools and devices.
