Control Systems Engineering
Requirements Elicitation
We recommend following the V-Cycle for all system design in alignment with ASPICE and ISO26262. We would approach your project by first identifying your customer and stakeholder requirements and having these agreed and reviewed.
Requirements Decomposition
Once top level requirements and constraints have been understood, we would decompose these through a system architectural design to sub-system requirements then software and hardware requirements. This process would also identify the validation and verification steps required to prove that the system delivers what is expected.
Where possible, we would model these requirements to determine that the outcome meets the need before committing to hardware delivery.
Hardware and Software Development and Integration
Based on the specific requirements for the software and hardware components, we can develop specification or scopes of work for bought-in delivery of components, sub-systems or software. Alternatively, we can undertake the 'build' route with the development of hardware and software implementation according to those requirements, or a mixture of both. We can manage the complete delivery of system components, and bring these together through the integration phase, liaising with suppliers in problem resolution or quality issues, and rapidly iterate to achieve a successful system integration.
Validation & Verification
Finally, we will follow a Design Verification Plan to execute all of the validation and verification steps outlined by the requirements.
We typically would provide test reports, identifying any failures, manage issues and resolutions through issues management tools or 8D investigations where required.
